Place the transfer case in 4lo, connect the shifting cable and adjust it from either end until the stud reaches the center of the shifter mounting point, on mine there was about a 1/2" gap at the console when in 4lo. WebAug 26, 2024 · The cables can get stiff as can the shift shafts. The only way to diag it is get it hot and disco the cable, then see if the trans shaft is stiff. Get you mechanic to do this as it can roll away while your under it. The cables can seize up and will be intermittent.
