If your car has an electrically operated boot lock, you could try disconnecting the earth lead on the battery, and pulling on the boot lid as someone else reconnects the battery. Web8 mei 2024 · Issue is you can't lock the car with the remote as it thinks the boot is open, but it's not. It's impossible to open and can't get it to recognise it's shut . The boot and roof on my daughter's 08 reg Tigra 1.4 was working well, then recently stopped completely. Neither the switch in the driver's door panel not the button below the boot have any affect, and none of the alarms sound (they used to).
