How to sharpen an ulu
Webthis is a genuine Ulu with reindeer horn handle. it's about 30 years old so I want to ensure I don't ruin it. I'm a complete novice when it comes to sharpening, I'm still trying to get a decent edge on my awful kitchen knifes so the thoughts of trying a complex curved edge is daunting. Thanks for any advice. What is the proper technique for sharpening an ulu? I just received a nice one for Christmas, and it seems a bit awkward trying to work a curved edge on a conventional rectangular bench stone.
