WebDec 11, 2024 · In short, the problem is that your armor is actually rotting away in your storage because it is stored in a stockpile with set refuse settings. You can see that in the pic of the equipment in the main stockpile, the helmet as well as the gauntlets are deteriorated to "XXnameXX" already (with the XX indicating advanced wear). WebShell gauntlets, wooden shields and bone greaves? As far as I can tell, from this page http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/Armor shell gauntlets, wooden shields, and bone greaves are equally as effective, and way easier to make, than metal versions of the same pieces. Is there any reason to make metal or leather versions of these items?
